BRICKLIVE LITE LAUNCH

LVCG announces that it has secured the first three locations for BRICKLIVE Lite shows in Korea, following the concept’s announcement in June as a new brand extension consisting of temporary and smaller events or exhibitions, staged in venues including shopping centres and hotels. With fun, interactive activities for participants to get involved in, there are two 100 sqm shows at the Jeju Lotte Hotel (July to September) and the Busan Lotte Hotel (July to August), and a 825 sqm show at the Munwha Broadcasting Corporation in Daegu (July to October).

Two new centres

Designed to provide the BRICKLIVE experience but on a temporary basis, the BRICKLIVE Lite shows tap into a new market with two of the secured locations in hotels. Content for the shows continues to inspire all to learn, build and play, featuring BRICKLIVE’s staple brick pits, LEGO® Star Wars Zone, race tracks, graffiti wall and more.

LVCG is also bolstering its Korean market offering with the addition of two new centres. Located at the Hilton Hotel Gyeongju and Hanwha Resort GuoJe Belvedere, the centres will serve as new permanent spaces.

Dominican Republic Show

LVCG also announces an expansion of its interactive experiences to the Dominican Republic with Latin American partner EXIM-Entertainment Division LLC in October, following its success across Brazil and Argentina. The show will debut in Santo Domingo and will be presented in a 2,000sqm space of Sambil Santo Domingo’s shopping mall. Enabling participants to enjoy the trademark activities within BRICKLIVE’s building zones, from building spaceships in the LEGO® Star Wars Zone to racing their own cars on a real race track, leading Dominican toy store La Novia de Villa will also be installing various models of LEGO® statues and product collections at the BRICKLIVE exhibition’s entrance.

ANIMAL PARADISE TOUR

The Company is pleased to announce that the BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise show, created by BRICKLIVE Touring, will begin a three-year, twenty city tour of China, beginning on 7 September 2018 at the world-famous National Stadium in Beijing, also known as the Birds Nest Stadium.

LVCG’s wholly-owned subsidiary Brick Live International Limited (“BLI”) has entered into a licence agreement with Bricklive Centre Education Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd (“BLC”), the Group’s 49%-owned joint venture in China, for the exclusive right to sub-license the staging and promotion of BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise in China.

Pursuant to the agreement, BLC has entered into a sub-licencing agreement the with Decheng Holding Industrial Co., Ltd (company no: 911101083181089867) (“Decheng”) for the organisation and staging of the tour shows across the 20 venues until September 2021. In addition, Decheng has an option to extend the sub-licencing agreement for a further 3 years on the same terms, to take the show to an additional 20 cities. The total value to BLI of the initial 3-year contract is US$3.1 million, comprising both content and show licence fees.

The creation of this BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise show has been funded by BLC, and under the agreement with Decheng, BLC receives a guaranteed percentage of sponsorship and ticket revenue.

The preservation of rare animals is a crucial topic for China at the moment and so the aim of this new tour is an educational one. BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise will feature a spectacular array of more than 60 LEGO built animal models and will serve as an ideal learning through play platform, through which to engage both children and adult visitors alike. The event will bring together both physical and digital educational experiences.

BRICKLIVE CHRISTMAS IN MONACO ANNOUNCEMENT

LVCG is pleased to announce a partnership with the Grimaldi Forum for the launch of BRICKLIVE Monaco Christmas.

Following the success of BRICKLIVE Christmas in London’s Saatchi Gallery in 2017, BRICKLIVE Christmas will launch in Monaco at the principality’s prestigious, Grimaldi Forum, to offer fans the ultimate brick-building experience for the entire family during the Christmas holidays.

BRICKLIVE Christmas will showcase all the best bits of BRICKLIVE shows in 2018. Activities will include an interactive build zone featuring LEGO Friends bricks and a dance zone, a Monaco build map with all the favourite construction bricks, colourful brick pits with 250,000 bricks to create with, a 10m graffiti wall, the famous race ramps for visitors to race their creations and much, much more. From Christmas and creative build zones, through a dedicated Star Wars Zone, to Minecraft and Galactic adventures, each zone will provide a different brick-based, interactive activity for fans to build their dream creations.

The main attraction of the event will be the impressive, professionally built Animal Paradise LEGO® statues along with a selection of Christmas themed builds. 

BRICKLIVE pop-up

To announce this launch, on Monday 9th July BRICKLIVE staged a pop-up at the Grimaldi Forum, featuring five amazing life size LEGO models – the elephant, tiger, leopard, gorilla, and a lion. After learning that the elephant alone took 271,000 bricks and 1,600 LEGO bricks to build, local press such as Monaco Matin were invited to a preview of the five fantastic animals which will be featured as part of the upcoming BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise Tour in Korea.

LVCG is pleased to update that the following dates for events in July 2018 have now been confirmed:

   4th July – opening of the first BRICKLIVE Centre at the Fulong resort in China 

   7th – 22nd July – BRICKLIVE show in Rosario, Argentina with South American partner EXIM Entertainment 

   10th July – launch of the first BRICKLIVE Kids Café in Dongdaemun Design Plaza, Seoul, South Korea 

   12th – 22nd July – BRICKLIVE show in Cordoba, Argentina with South American partner EXIM Entertainment

   19th -22nd July – BRICKLIVE show in Glasgow, Scotland with UK partner Multiplay 

   26- 29th July – BRICKLIVE show in Bangkok, Thailand with ASEAN partner BEC-Tero Entertainment

BRICKLIVE ANIMAL PARADISE AGREEMENT

LVCG announces that, on 28 June 2018, its wholly-owned subsidiary Bricklive Touring Limited entered into a show licence agreement (the “Agreement”) with Oracle Projects International Co. Limited (“Oracle”) and Live Digital, Inc. Limited (“Live Digital”) (together, the “Licensee”), each being companies incorporated in South Korea, in relation to the staging and promotion of the BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise shows, initially in South Korea and Macau, with the option for Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong with additional annual licence fees.

BRICKLIVE Touring

BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise will be the first Bricklive Touring exhibition, and is designed to educate the LEGO fan community about endangered species, featuring more than 60 LEGO animals, including a full-size African elephant and a Mako shark.

The Agreement will first bring BRICKLIVE to the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea. This will consist of a precursor to BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise running from July 2018 to November 2018, and an experiential BRICKLIVE, featuring LEGO wizard and Knight Models, to run until February 2019. BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise will follow launching in Macau over the Christmas period and hosted within Oracle’s specially built Mega Dome.

BRICKLIVE RENEWS AND EXTENDS CONTRACT IN SOUTH KOREA

LVCG announces that, on 14 June 2018, its wholly-owned subsidiary Brick Live International Limited (“BLI”) entered into a new licence and content lease agreement (the “New Agreement”) with HiBrick Limited (“HiBrick”) and Brick Live World Limited (“BWL”), each being companies incorporated in South Korea and controlled by Reon Kim, a substantial shareholder in LVCG, in relation to certain BRICKLIVE events in South Korea.

BRICKLIVE Touring

The New Agreement provides an extension of the contractual arrangements between BLI and HiBrick and BLW in South Korea, ensuring event output until 31st December 2022. The previous licence agreement between BLI and BLW, which was due to expire on 25 January 2021, has been terminated concurrently with the signing of the New Agreement.

Under the terms of the New Agreement, HiBrick will retain exclusivity in South Korea provided a minimum number of BRICKLIVE centres (permanent) and BRICKLIVE Lite shows (temporary) are opened or staged each calendar year. Additionally, the New Agreement wavers the previous exclusivity of other BRICKLIVE brand extensions within South Korea.

BRICKLIVE Lite is a new brand extension which consists of temporary and smaller events between 400-1,000sqm to be staged in venues such as shopping malls, typically for 10 days or less.

The New Agreement allows Hi Brick and BLI to work together to sublicense the brand, seeking additional partners to promote BRICKLIVE centres and BRICKLIVE Lite shows in the territory. In this regard, BLI will continue to look for partnership opportunities for BRICKLIVE Touring within the territory.

BRICKLIVE’S ASEAN TOUR BEGINS IN JAKARTA

LVCG is pleased to announce the launch of the BRICKLIVE ASEAN Tour with a show in Jakarta, Indonesia, running for ten days from 7th – 17th June 2018.

Multiple sponsors for the first ASEAN tour show

The show will be hosted in and split across two floors of the impressive PIK Avenue lifestyle and shopping mall in Jakarta.

The event is being run in partnership with Thai entertainment conglomerate, BEC-Tero Entertainment Public Company Limited.

Sponsorship of the event is coming from Tokopedia, an online retailer. Tokopedia are using virtual reality to engage audiences using VR technology in PIK Avenue with LEGO-themed stands throughout the mall.

The official bank sponsor is CIMB Niaga, who have a digital lounge in the shopping centre featuring BRICKLIVE promotional content. Additionally, they are promoting the shows throughout their various channels.

Other sponsorship comes in the form of a media and communications partnership with In Season. There are 12 other media partners including, 90.4 Cosmopolitan FM, GOTOMALLS.com and merdeka.com.

LAUNCH OF BRICKLIVE KIDS IN CHINA

LVCG is pleased to announce the launch in China of BRICKLIVE Kids, the latest venture in the expansion of the BRICKLIVE brand.

BRICKLIVE Kids will be a permanent childcare crèche, where children can enjoy BRICKLIVE’s classic brick pits in a space of around 100sqm, and will have the safety of full time supervision whilst parents go shopping.

Five-year contract signed

A five-year non-exclusive contract has been signed by Bricklive Centre Education Technology (Beijing) Co. Ltd, Bricklive Group’s joint venture partners in China, with Zhuang Xiang Education Consultant (Beijing) Company Ltd.  

The first BRICKLIVE Kids will launch at the end of 2018 at New Yansha mall in Beijing, China, with plans to launch 5 additional BRICKLIVE Kids locations over the next 5 years.

LVCG LAUNCHES BRICKLIVE KIDS’ CAFÉ

LVCG is pleased to announce that BRICKLIVE Kids’ Café is launching next month in the world famous and neo-futuristic Dongdaemun Design Plaza (“DDP”) in Seoul, South Korea.

Working in partnership with Korean food Celebrity Hino, BRICKLIVE Kids Café will be a permanent venue featuring magnificent LEGO® animals such as a leopard, a lion cub, two macaws and the fan-favourite Feed the Frog game. As well as the dramatic models, the café will also feature BRICKLIVE’s top attractions, including a brick pit, an interactive graffiti wall and racetracks.

Located in a landmark development

The venue for the Café is itself immensely impressive. DDP is a major urban development landmark in Seoul, and a cultural hub in the historical district of Dongdaemun, South Korea's largest fashion district and popular tourist destination. Designed by British-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid, winner of the 2004 Pritzker Prize, the DDP was one of the driving forces behind Seoul's designation as World Design Capital in 2010 and it has been lauded as the new hub for design and modern culture in South Korea.

Hino is well known in Korea for designing, creating and launching brands and restaurants around Korea and the Far East. As a result, she is the perfect partner as BRICKLIVE looks to engage new demographics around the world.

LVCG is pleased to announce the launch of Brick Live International Limited’s latest venture: BRICKLIVE Kids’ Club, having signed a three-year contract with South Korea’s Haevichi Hospitality Guam Inc.

BRICKLIVE Kids’ Club will be a permanent hotel fixture, creating a colourful 100sqm play zone with 18,000 bricks. It will include a brick pit, BRICKLIVE Build Zones featuring LEGO® Friends and City bricks, a graffiti wall and race track zone.

The concept is a mini version of the two larger BRICKLIVE Centres already located in shopping centres in Seoul.

LVCG is pleased to announce the debut of a new division, BRICKLIVE Touring, which will take themed BRICKLIVE shows on tour. The first exhibition, entitled BRICKLIVE Animal Paradise, is designed to educate the LEGO fan community about endangered species and will feature more than 65 LEGO animals, including a full-size African elephant and a snow leopard.

LVCG ANNOUNCES 2nd BRICKLIVE CENTRE IN CHINA

LVCG is pleased to announce that Brick Live Centre Education Development (Beijing) Limited (“BL China”), a joint venture of Bricklive Far East Limited, a subsidiary of LVCG, has entered into a contract with new licensee in China to open a second permanent BRICKLIVE centre in China.

Pursuant to the agreement, BL China will open a second permanent BRICKLIVE centre in China in Shanghai in the Autumn of 2018, to be managed and operated by the licensee, Wuhan Realjoy Children Park Management Co. Ltd – a subsidiary of Wuhan DDMC Culture Company Limited. This will follow the opening of the first permanent BRICKLIVE centre in China, opening in May 2018 in the ski resort of Fulong Chongli, an Olympic venue for the Beijing 2022 Winter Games. 


LVCG is also pleased to announce that it has secured a 5-year licensing deal with Cross Media Group of Seoul, South Korea, for the exclusive right to open and operate BRICKLIVE branded kids cafes (“Cafes”) in China. Under the agreement, a minimum of five Cafes will be launched in 2018, rising to 30 by the end of 2019, and 100 by the end of 2022.

LVCG SIGNS BRAZIL DEAL

Live Company Group (LVCG) today announces that Bricklive International Limited (BLI), a subsidiary of the newly acquired Bricklive Group Limited, has entered into a six-year contract with Universal Entretenimento e Produções LTDA (UEP) for BRICKLIVE events in Brazil. The contract provides for a guaranteed 30 events every 15 months, increasing the number of contracted BRICKLIVE events in 2018 to approximately 60 – twice the number of shows previously contracted for the year.

BRICKLIVE events have received widespread acclaim as a leading network of partner-driven shows designed to showcase the benefits of LEGO® as an educational tool worldwide. Under the agreement, UEP will organise, promote and stage each BRICKLIVE event, while BLI will source and provide the content. BLI will receive license fees with the potential for further revenues through merchandising and additional content income.

To support the continued expansion of BRICKLIVE's increased network in South America and Asia, LVCG today also announces that it has raised £1.6 million (gross) through an oversubscribed private placing by Shard Capital Partners LLP of 4,571,425 new ordinary shares of 1p each in the company at a price of 35p per new share.

The new shares rank pari passu with the company’s existing issued shares and are being issued under the company’s existing share authorities. The placing price represents a discount of 18 per cent. to the closing price on 5 January 2018 and a premium of 17 per cent. to the price of the company’s placing completed in December 2017. Dealings on AIM are expected to commence on 15January 2018.

LVCG has also appointed Shard Capital Partners LLP as its joint broker alongside existing broker and nominated adviser Stockdale Securities Limited.

BRICKLIVE GOES PUBLIC

The company behind the successful BRICKLIVE events has now listed on London’s stock exchange.

On the 22nd December 2017 the newly formed ‘Live Company Group’ (formerly trading as Parallel Media Group) listed on London’s Junior stock exchange with a valuation of £14.5m. This announcement received a warm welcome from the markets and media with numerous mainstream bodies reporting positively on this news.

Specialising in LEGO® themed events the Company has experienced a dramatic rise in business throughout 2017 launching 17 shows across four continents (North America, South America, Europe and Asia). The brand has seen over 500,000 visitors walk through their doors in just under 12 months.

Talking about the public announcement, Chairman David Ciclitira said “this marks a momentus point in a successful year and now gives the company the ability to continue to grow.”

2017 has undoubtedly been a great year for the brand and the Company. Its trademark interactive events, themed around the world of LEGO® creativity and building clearly hold a global appeal and there shows no sign of the demand slowing as in 2018 BRICKLIVE aims to have over 30 events worldwide with a longer term target of over 100 shows per year in 2020.
